We and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, pixels, software development kits, and similar technologies to operate and improve the Service. The categories include:

  • Strictly necessary cookies, required for authentication, security, and core Service functionality
  • Performance and analytics cookies, helping us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it

  • Advertising cookies, supporting personalized advertising and measuring its effectiveness

You can control cookies through your browser settings, through opt-out tools offered by industry self-regulatory programs (Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info, Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org), and through device-level controls for advertising identifiers. Disabling certain cookies may limit Service functionality.

We honor opt-out preference signals as described in the Global Privacy Control section below.

8. Video Viewing Information

ITS is a subscription video service. The Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA) and similar state laws govern how providers handle video viewing records.
We use information about which videos you watch to provide the Service, recommend related content, measure engagement, and improve our instructional library. We do not disclose your video viewing records to third parties except as permitted by the VPPA, including:

  • With your informed, written consent (which you may withdraw at any time)
  • To service providers acting on our behalf and bound by confidentiality obligations

You may withdraw consent for sharing your viewing information through your account settings or by contacting us at privacy@inthespread.com.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including providing the Service, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Specific retention periods include:

  • Active account information, retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to handle billing reconciliation, support requests, and disputes
  • Transaction and payment records, retained for at least seven years to satisfy tax and accounting requirements
  • Marketing records, retained until you unsubscribe or object, plus a brief suppression period to honor your preference
  • Server logs and security records, typically retained for 12 to 24 months
  • Customer support communications, retained for up to three years

After applicable retention periods expire, we delete, anonymize, or aggregate the information.

10. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encryption of data in transit, access controls, network monitoring, vendor due diligence, and employee training.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot warrant absolute security, and you provide information at your own risk. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

11. International Data Transfers

We operate the Service from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate.

For transfers from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable. You may request a copy of the safeguards we apply by contacting privacy@inthespread.com.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

How to Exercise Your Rights

You may submit a request by emailing privacy@inthespread.com or by writing to the address in the Contact Us section. We will verify your identity before responding, typically by confirming information associated with your account.

You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification requirements under applicable law.

We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California Residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), provides additional rights. The categories of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes for collection, and the categories of recipients are described throughout this Privacy Policy.

In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following CCPA categories of personal information: identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet or other electronic network activity, geolocation data (approximate), and inferences. We may share these categories with service providers, advertising partners, and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do share certain identifiers and internet activity information with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising, which California law treats as "sharing." You may opt out using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on our website or by emailing privacy@inthespread.com.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

Other US State Residents

Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have rights similar to those described above, subject to state-specific exceptions and verification procedures. To exercise these rights, contact us using the methods above.

You may appeal a denial of a privacy rights request by replying to our response or by emailing privacy@inthespread.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Appeal."

EEA, UK, and Swiss Residents

In addition to the rights above, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can address your concerns.

13. Global Privacy Control and Opt-Out Signals

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar opt-out preference signals as required by California, Colorado, Connecticut, and other state privacy laws. When we detect a valid signal from your browser or device, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser or device. To apply your preference across all sessions and devices, please also submit a request through the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link or by contacting privacy@inthespread.com.

14. Automated Decision Making

We do not engage in automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you. We use automated processing for content recommendations, fraud detection, and personalization, but these processes do not result in decisions that meaningfully restrict your access to services, employment, credit, housing, education, or similar opportunities. If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required disclosures.

15. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults. You must be 18 years of age or older to subscribe. In jurisdictions where the age of majority is higher than 18, you must satisfy that age requirement.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in the United States, or under 16 in the European Economic Area and other jurisdictions where a higher age applies. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child below the applicable threshold without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it.

If you believe we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, please contact privacy@inthespread.com.

16. Public Forums and User Content

When you post content publicly on the Service, including comments, reviews, or community contributions, that content and any personal information you include become accessible to others. Exercise care when posting publicly. We cannot control how other users handle your content, and information shared in public areas may be collected and used by third parties.

17. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services that we do not operate or control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third party before providing information to them.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Service with a revised "Last Updated" date and, where required, by sending you a notice through email or in-account messaging. We encourage you to review the Privacy Policy periodically.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy, except where additional steps are required by law.
