H20 Rampage Crank | Musky Lures | Cory Allen - In The Spread

"Gentlemen, behold!!!!...."

The H20 Rampage Crank, the best crankbait you probably haven't ever heard of Roger Watters basically has turned this body style into a variety of sizes and lip designs from shallow bill to deep running with weight screw inserts, and I've personally used them in the 4" and 7" sizes, this being the 7".

I will personally tell you I'm a small crank junky from bass, walleye, trout, and musky world as well; a literal sommelier of the world of diving crankbait styles. It's a bit of a passion of mine.

The 4" Rampage with weight insert screws is a body design that I've personally trolled up to and beyond 8 mph, works amazingly as a twitch bait on a MH musky setup, and accounted for some serious fish this spring for me. The bigger ones in the 7" Shallow lip has one of the sickest wandering belly rolls you'll ever see, and works even better with the 3 way swivel blade integration than the Shallow Cranky Nitro model.

But that 4" tho...

Recently smaller cranks have become more and more popular in the musky world, and none of them come close to the versatility and twitching meandering action of the 4" rampage.

Now go bother Uncle Roger for some of these candies in his back pocket...

Tell him I sent cha.

Bass Fishing Tips on 10 to 1 Reel Speed

The mental part of fast reels can also change how you fish. For example, baits that need speed are easily fished using a fast reel, but those that require you to slow down a fast reel requires you to put some mental thought into what you doing with the bait. Although a good fisherman always is in mental charge of their bait, many inexperienced fishermen are not, and putting a fast reel in a inexperienced fisherman may really hurt their ability to catch a fish.

Getting Hooked by a Fishing Hook | In The Spread - Dwayne Hickey

We talk a lot about how to care for a musky once it's in the net, and equally important is taking care of yourself during the unhooking, picture taking phase. No, a musky will not try to bite you! Your not holding a wild cat or a rattlesnake. However, you are trying to get very big hooks out of a mouth that's full of Sharp teeth.

Redfish Fishing | Know the Winds and Tide | Capt. William Toney

Finding fishing spots and turning them into routes are a daily ritual with me as a full time inshore guide. Every trip I have planned in my head the direction and spots that I intend to fish but sometimes weather, wind or another angler already at that location can make me reevaluate the situation and move on to another route.
